What we cover?
Each of the 9 x 1 day workshops that make up the program introduces you to essential coaching theories and practices including:
- Defining coaching and how it differs from mentoring, counselling & consulting
- Understanding the ICF framework and the Co-Active Model
- Applying the 11 core ICF coaching competencies
- Professional conduct and the ICF Code of Ethics for coaches
- Goal Setting
- Providing developmental feedback
- Deep listening
- Building rapport with others
- Contracting with clients and organizations
- Awareness raising techniques
- Powerful coaching tools
- Coaching in organizations and teams
Who is this Program for?
We welcome applications from those over 25 years with a strong interest in coaching and developing others and who have strong communication skills. We typically have a range of professional backgrounds and experiences among our delegates including HR Managers; Engineers; Educators; Marketers; Learning and Development Executives; Lawyers; Counsellors; Government Officials and Entrepreneurs. They all share a passion for development!
This highly interactive; practical and structured program support your development as a coach by:
- Intensive skill building through observed practice with feedback
- Experiential activities to raise awareness of self and others
- Master classes on key coaching concepts and theories
- Reflective practice to accelerate and improve learning
- Extensive use of small group work – the “TRIAD method”
- Practicing coaches as guest tutors.
How We Work
The International Coach Federation is the largest representative body for coaches worldwide with over 32 000 members. Once you enroll in the program you are eligible to become a member and may join the UAE Chapter. The ICF credentials coaches at three levels – Associate; Professional and Master (ACC/PCC/MCC). This program is fully approved and aligned with the ICF and covers the training requirement for ACC credential applications. This full process is further explained on the program.
